The Lord of the Rings: Total War

I made a hotseat option to play with the High Elves, Arnor and Gondor. It was working fine for several turns, but in Arnor's 3rd turn (when I decided to recuit some units) it spontaneously crashed. No error.

I suppose the problem lies with recruitment?
What could be the cause? Is there still anyone playing this?

EDIT: it appears to be in Annuminas only
EDIT2: it seems to be Elendil that causes the problems

hm...no idea - I also do not have the version, because the new one will be based on lotrtw 2.1 and will be made completely new!
